Uploading your Menu

Easily add a digital copy of your offerings, from a previous menu / offerings-overview by snapping a photo, or uploading a file—no manual typing required.

Prerequisites

  • Owner account signed in

Step-by-step

  1. Open Upload menu screen
    You will be shown the Upload menu screen during shop creation, if your shop is already created. Navigate to Dashboard › Menu and select Upload menu.

  2. Review the screen layout
    You’ll see two upload buttons, a file-preview area, and these controls:

    • Take photo – open your camera

    • Upload from device – attach photos or documents

    • Skip & do manually later – bypass the step

    • Looks Good – finishes the upload (disabled until at least one file is
      attached)

  3. Option A – Take a photo

    1. Tap Take photo.

    2. When prompted, allow camera access.

    3. Align the menu inside the on-screen frame and tap Capture.

    4. Preview the shot:

      • Retake photo to try again.

      • Next to accept—your photo appears in the preview section and
        Looks Good turns active.

  4. Option B – Upload from device

    1. Tap Upload from device and choose Photo or Document.

    2. Select one or more items in your gallery or file explorer.

    3. Tap Choose to attach or Cancel to abandon the selection.

    4. Thumbnails (images) or placeholders (PDF/DOCX) appear with an icon
      for removal; Looks Good becomes active.

  5. Manage your uploads

    • Tap on any item to remove it.

    • Removing all items disables Looks Good again.

    • Accepted formats: images (JPEG, PNG, TIFF, HEIC) or
      documents (PDF, DOCX) up to 100 MB each.

  6. Finish or skip

    • Tap Looks Good to save the files and start AI processing; you’ll be
      taken to Finish setting up your menu once analysis completes.

    • If processing fails or exceeds ~3 minutes, a pop-up offers Try again
      or Do later—both keep your files safe.

    • Not ready? Tap Skip & do manually later to proceed without uploads.

Troubleshooting

  • Camera prompt keeps reappearing - Denied permission earlier? Re-open Take photo and follow the OS link to grant camera access.

  • “Looks Good” is greyed out - Ensure at least one file remains in the preview section, and that each file is under 100 MB and in a supported format.

  • AI processing failed - Choose Try again to re-process or Do later to continue setup and
    edit the menu afterward.

FAQ

  • Can I upload multiple files?
    Yes—select as many images or documents as you need; a counter shows how many
    are attached.

  • Will removing a file delete it from my device?
    No, it only detaches the item from your Tapp upload.

  • Can I edit the menu later?
    Absolutely. After upload, the Edit menu screen lets you adjust
    items, prices, and categories anytime.
