# Manage an order from Live Floor

> Add, pay, modify, refund, or send a receipt for orders linked to an active table session.

The session panel keeps table operations and linked orders together. It starts new POS work with the session ID and exposes only order actions supported by each order's current state.

## Who can do this?

**Owners, Managers, and Staff** may operate Live Floor and table sessions. Room, table, and booking configuration remains Owner/Manager-only wherever its API requires that role.

## Where to do it

In the Management web app, open **Rooms and tables → Live Floor**. Select a table for its card or session. The Management mobile app provides the same core floor, filter, map, table-action, extension, and session-detail areas.

## Steps

1. Open an occupied table and review the **Orders** section.
2. Choose **Add order** to start a clean POS cart anchored to the active session. Tapp clears stale cart/order state before opening POS with the session ID.
3. For an existing order, choose the action shown: pay routes a payable order to POS; modify reopens a supported pay-later order; receipt and refund open their dedicated dialogs.
4. Complete the selected POS or dialog flow and return to the table session to verify the updated order.
5. Keep occupancy and payment decisions separate. Close the table only when the party/session is finished, not merely because one order is paid.

## Platform notes

Web and mobile use the same session endpoints. POS orders are anchored through the session ID. Guest bookings from the guest app can appear as incoming floor bookings, but guests cannot operate Live Floor or sessions.

## Market notes

The flow is the same in GB and Germany. Live Floor sends a local time reference for the store; bookings and sessions are shown in that local operating time. Currency differences affect orders, not occupancy logic.

This reflects the product on 17 July 2026. The active session is authoritative: an elapsed booking window does not end physical occupancy, and only a successful session action changes the table state.

## Troubleshooting

* Modify is unavailable while payment is initiated or failed, and pay is hidden for unsafe states. Do not bypass these guards by starting a replacement order.
* If an order is missing, refresh the session. Orders are loaded by session; an unrelated POS order without this session ID will not appear here.
