# Choose device notifications

> Choose which order alerts reach the phone or tablet you are using.

Choose the push alerts you want on each phone or tablet. For example, you can keep new order alerts on a shared tablet while reducing completed-order alerts on your own phone. Make the choices on each device where you use the mobile app.

## Who can do this?

Owners, Managers, and Staff can change their own device notification preferences. This does not change a colleague’s preferences or give you access to orders you would not otherwise be allowed to see.

## Where

In the mobile app, open your profile using the profile button. On **Profile settings**, find **Allow notifications** in the device settings. When notifications are allowed, **Notify me about** appears below it.

## Choose your alerts

1. Open the settings on the phone or tablet you want to adjust.
2. Turn on **Allow notifications**. Respond to any permission prompt from your device.
3. Under **Notify me about**, switch the available alert types on or off:
   * **New orders**
   * **Payments**
   * **Pay later orders**
   * **Cancellations**
   * **Completed orders**
4. Allow each change to finish before changing another switch.
5. Repeat on another device if you want to adjust its alerts too.

These switches save when changed; you do not need to save your personal details to apply them. Turning a type off mutes that push alert for your account on this device. It does not cancel orders, change payment status, or remove messages from your notification list.

## Platform and market notes

The controls are in the mobile app for both supported markets. The five switches cover selected order alerts; they are not a complete list of every notification Tapp can send. Turn off **Allow notifications** to stop push alerts on this device more broadly.

After turning **Allow notifications** off and back on, review **Notify me about** again. Turning notifications off clears your choices for individual alert types on this device. Turn off any types you still want to mute.

## Troubleshooting

If the individual switches are missing, check **Allow notifications** first. The switch in Tapp does not confirm that your phone or tablet allows notifications in its system settings. If alerts still do not arrive, check those system settings too. Reopen your profile to confirm the choices were saved. Contact Tapp support if a switch repeatedly returns to its previous value.
