# Review and approve Wingman suggestions

> Inspect a suggested promotion, save adjustments or approve it with a clear understanding of what will run.

Wingman suggests promotions from sales patterns, without promising extra sales or profit.

## Who can do this?

Owners and Managers can decide suggestions for their shop.

## Where to do it

In the web app, open **Wingman** and check the shop. Suggestions appear under **New for you**, **In progress** or **Done**. Open a card to inspect its details.

If Wingman is missing, use **Promotions** to manage offers manually.

## Review a suggestion

1. Read the sales pattern Wingman identified and check the affected products or category.
2. Check the proposed discount, dates, weekdays and any redemption limit shown.
3. Review cost and measurement notices. Mobile percentages are rounded; a missing change percentage does not mean zero.
4. Check the related promotion's details before deciding. A measurement threshold describes a change the report could detect; it is not a forecast of what you will earn.

An empty feed shows no suggestions; it does not prove that Wingman checked everything or found no opportunities.

## Adjust before deciding

Choose **Tweak this offer**, describe the change you want and use the upward-arrow button (**Send**). Wait for the response, then review **What changes**. Asking a question or discussing an adjustment does not itself activate the offer.

If Wingman suggests a different adjustment, **Yes, let's go with that.** continues the conversation about that suggestion. Review the resulting change summary before using either save action:

* **Save changes** updates the draft and leaves the proposal awaiting a decision.
* **Lock it in** saves the adjustment and approves the promotion. Treat it as a launch decision.

To rename directly in the web app, select the pencil, enter a nonblank name and use the checkmark (**Save name**) or Enter. **×** or Escape cancels. This saves the name without approval.

In either app, you can ask Wingman for a new name. Review it and choose **Save changes** to keep the draft. Discount or weekday adjustments can also generate a new name; check it before saving.

In both apps, a failed follow-up restores your text and may show the previous change summary again. It may exclude your latest request. Review it before saving or approving, or retry and wait for a new response.

## Approve or decline

Choose **Approve and run** only after reviewing the offer. This button submits approval directly; there is no extra confirmation screen. A standalone promotion is activated as part of approval, with its configured dates and eligibility determining when customers can use it.

For a future step in a broader plan, approval can be recorded before activation. That promotion waits for its scheduled start. Check the promotion's actual status and dates instead of relying only on the proposal's **Running** label.

If you do not want the suggestion, choose **Not now**, select a reason, optionally add a note and confirm **Decline this one**. This records a decision, rather than postponing the same card for later. Declining leaves the linked draft promotion in place. Decided or expired suggestions cannot be reopened here.

## Platform notes

These steps describe the web app. In the mobile app, open **Wingman** from the shop home screen to review proposals, approve or decline them, and adjust or save an offer. Pull down to refresh the feed. Use the web app for detailed measured results and result feedback. Closing a detail submits no decision. During mobile approval, decline or saving, Back, swiping down and tapping outside cannot close the sheet. **Done** can contain declined or expired suggestions as well as promotions with results; it does not mean every card ran successfully.

## Market notes

The flow applies in Great Britain and Germany. Check the shop's currency and offer dates. Proposed discounts still need to meet the shop's promotion rules when saved or activated.

## Troubleshooting

* If an adjustment is refused, review the permitted discount and proposed limits instead of repeatedly sending the same change.
* After an approval error, refresh the proposal and promotion before trying again. Another manager may already have decided it.
* If the assistant is unavailable, leave the draft unchanged and return later or contact Tapp support.
