# Set table availability

> Show or hide a physical table in online bookings by changing its allocation priority.

Each physical table can be open or closed for online bookings. The Rooms & tables card presents this as a switch, implemented by changing booking priority between Offline and Medium.

## Who can do this?

Owners and Managers can use the described parts. Only Owners and Managers have configuration write access; Staff access remains read-only or operational. API authorization is authoritative.

## Where

Open **Settings → Rooms & tables**, find the physical table card, and use the **Bookable online** switch. Combined-table cards do not have this switch.

## Steps

1. Confirm the selected shop, room, and table name.
2. Turn the switch off to set priority to Offline and exclude the table from the online allocator.
3. Turn it on to set priority to Medium. If the table previously had High or Low priority, this quick switch does not restore that previous value.
4. Use Edit when you need a specific priority other than Medium or Offline.
5. Wait for the update to complete and confirm the status pill and explanatory text.

## Platform notes

The update is Owner/Manager-only. Staff can read availability in operational flows but cannot change it. Offline controls online booking allocation; it does not delete the table, remove it from its room, erase its layout, end an active table session, or automatically resolve existing bookings.

## Market notes

The availability rule is identical in GB and DE. The displayed text is localized, but priority values are shared shop data. Coordinate changes with the team so the physical floor and booking inventory stay aligned.

## Troubleshooting

If the switch returns to its previous value, wait for any pending update and reload current table data. A backend error can leave the saved priority unchanged. If guests can still select the table, confirm the correct shop and table and check whether a combined unit or existing booking—not this individual table—is involved.
