# Staff and roles

> Invite team members, understand role permissions, maintain staff details, and move or remove people safely.

The Staff area is where authorized roles manage the people who work in a shop. Role choice changes what a team member can administer or operate, so review the permission guide before sending an invitation or changing an existing role.
