Manage payments, checkout, and menu settings

Prerequisites

  • Role: Owner or Manager with access to settings

  • Your shop is already set up in Tapp

  • Stable internet connection

Step-by-step

Mobile App (iOS & Android)

1. Open the Shop tab
Go to Shop to view your shop page.

2. Scroll to Settings
At the bottom of the Shop page, find the Settings section.

3. Open Checkout & payments
Tap Checkout & payments.

4. Update payment methods
In this section, you can choose how your shop accepts payments, including:

  • Tap to pay on iPhone

  • Tap to pay on Android

  • Cash

5. Update checkout rules
You can also change how guests check out at your shop, including:

  • Allow tips

  • Allow ratings

Note: Menu settings cannot currently be edited on mobile.

Web Dashboard

1. Open Settings
In the left side-navigation, click Settings.

2. Open Payment & checkout
Use the settings page to manage how your shop accepts payments and how guests check out.

3. Update payment methods
In the Payments section, you can enable or disable:

  • Tap to pay on iPhone

  • Tap to pay on Android

  • Cash

4. Update checkout rules
In the Checkout rules section, you can choose whether to allow:

  • Tips

  • Ratings

5. Open Menu settings
On the Settings page, go to Menu settings to control how your menu is shown to customers.

6. Update menu display settings
You can choose whether the following are shown to customers:

  • Title

  • Description

  • Tags

  • Duration

7. Save your changes
Save the updated settings when you are finished.

Troubleshooting

  • Can’t find Checkout & payments on mobile - Go to the Shop tab and scroll to the Settings section at the bottom of the page.

  • Menu settings are missing on mobile - This is expected. Menu settings are currently available on web only.

  • Changes are not visible to customers - Refresh your shop view and confirm the settings were saved correctly.

Can I change payment methods on both web and mobile?
Yes. Payment methods can be managed from Checkout & payments on mobile and from Settings on web.

Can I edit menu settings on mobile?
No. Menu settings are currently only available on web.

What is included in checkout rules?
Checkout rules let you control whether guests can leave tips and ratings.

What do menu settings change?
Menu settings control which information is shown to customers, including Title, Description, Tags, and Duration.
