Get Started with Tapp

Set up your account in minutes - whether you’re launching a brand-new store or joining a team that’s already on Tapp.

Prerequisites

  • Install the Tapp mobile app from the App Store or Google Play before you begin.

  • Store owners will need an email address, mobile phone and basic business details for onboarding.

  • Staff members need the six-digit Team Code that comes with their invitation email/SMS.

Step-by-step

  1. Open Tapp and choose your path
    On the Welcome screen tap Get Started to create a new account, or Join Team to enter an invitation code.

  2. Create a new store (Get Started flow)

    1. Enter personal details on the Create account screen (name, date of birth, email, etc.). The Next button activates once every field passes validation.

    2. Set a password when prompted - look for the header “Hi YourNameYour Name, let’s set a password.”

    3. Wait while your store is created. An “Almost there” loader lets you know Tapp is building your store. When the progress bar reaches 100 %, tap Meet StoreNameStore Name.

    4. You’ll land on a welcome screen showing your freshly generated menu - your store is live!

  3. Join an existing team (Join Team flow)

    1. Enter the six-digit Team Code on the Let’s connect you to your team screen; the Let’s go! button activates once the code is complete.

    2. Follow the prompts to add your name and confirm the pre-filled phone or email from the invitation.

  4. Complete mandatory KYC (Verification)
    Tapp uses Adyen to verify businesses and individuals before payments can be accepted. KYC is a legal requirement.

    • When the system needs verification you’ll see a KYC required alert - tap Start KYC to launch the process.

    • Have your legal documents ready for a smooth verification (ID, Business information, Banking details, Personal details & similar)

    • Provide the requested business contact information (address, phone, country, etc.) and proof of identity when prompted.

    • Once KYC is approved, the warning badge disappears and you can start taking payments.

Troubleshooting

“Next” button stays grey

Make sure every mandatory field is filled and passes the on-screen validation rules.

Invalid Team Code error

Confirm you entered the exact six-digit code from the invitation; codes are validated in real time.

KYC alert keeps appearing

Verification must be finished by an Owner role; ensure the Owner completes KYC under Dashboard › Start KYC.
