Editing your Menu
Update offering names, prices, descriptions, and more from either the Tapp mobile app or the web back-office. The core flow is similar on both platforms, but the interfaces differ slightly.

Role: Owner or Manager with Menu permissions
Menu already uploaded or created in Tapp
Stable internet connection
Step-by-step
Mobile app (iOS & Android)
1. Open Products from the Shop tab
Go to Shop and tap Products. This opens the Categories page.
2. Manage categories
On the Categories page, you can view existing categories or create a new one by tapping Add category, shown as the last card in the category list.
Tap any category card to open it. From there, you can:
tap the pencil icon beside the category name to rename it
tap the trash icon in the top right to delete it
Deleting a category that contains items will also delete all items inside it.
3. Choose an item
Inside the selected category, tap the menu item you want to change.
4. Make your changes
You can edit:
Image
Category
Name
Price
VAT
Duration
Tags
Variations
Duration can be used to show how long an appointment or item takes to prepare.
Tags let you add custom information such as allergies or other things to be aware of.
Variations let you add optional extras or add-ons, either free or with an added cost.
5. Update the product photo (optional)
Tap the image field to add or replace a photo.
6. Save or discard
Save your changes when finished. If you leave without saving, your edits are discarded.
7. Delete an item (optional)
From the item view, use the delete option if you want to remove the item completely.
Web back-office
1. Navigate to Menu
After signing in as Owner or Manager, select Menu from the left-hand sidebar.
2. Browse or find the item
From the menu page, you can:
sort by category using the category selector in the top left
switch between list and grid view using the toggle in the top right
search for menu items using the search bar in the top right
3. Manage categories
Click Manage categories in the top right area. From here, you can rename, delete, and create categories.
4. Open the editor
Click any item in the list or grid to open it for editing.
5. Edit fields
You can update:

Name
Price
VAT
Duration
Tags
Variations

6. Upload or replace an image
Click the image field to select a file from your computer.
7. Save or cancel
Save your changes to apply them, or cancel to leave without saving.
8. Add an item (optional)
Click Add item in the top right area to open the new item modal and create a new menu item.
Troubleshooting
Save button stays inactive - Mandatory fields such as Category, Price, VAT, or Name may be empty or invalid. Fill all required fields and ensure the price uses a valid number format.
Cannot delete a category - If the category contains items, deleting it will also delete those items. Move or remove the items first if needed.
Image won’t upload - The file may exceed the supported size or use an unsupported format. Resize it or convert it to JPEG or PNG, then try again.
FAQ
Can I bulk-edit multiple items?
Not yet. Edit items one at a time on either platform.
Do edits sync instantly?
Yes. Changes saved on web or mobile appear across all devices after a quick refresh.
What if I accidentally delete an item?
Deletion is permanent. Re-add the item manually using Add item.
