Complete the shop setup task to create the business record and configure the first location used across Management, POS and guest ordering.

Who can do this?

The setup panel is shown to an Owner. Managers and Staff do not complete the initial business-level wizard. For additional shops, business-level steps already completed for the business can be skipped automatically.

Where to do it

In the Management Admin App, open the persistent setup pill and choose Set up your shop.

Complete shop setup

  1. Add the business or legal-entity details requested in the Business step.
  2. For Germany, complete the fiscal identity step when it is presented. If the backend reports that fiscal setup is already complete, Tapp omits it.
  3. Choose the business industry.
  4. Enter the shop address. The address is also used for invoices, receipts and compliance context.
  5. Enter the shop name.
  6. Optionally upload a square logo. The logo can appear on the shop page and receipts; this step can be skipped.
  7. Add a shop description.
  8. Optionally invite team members. This step can also be skipped.
  9. On the completion screen, return to the dashboard.
Progress is saved as you move through the wizard. Closing it does not deliberately discard the stored resume position.

Platform notes

The authoritative setup UI is the web Management Admin App. The resulting shop name, address, menu and team membership are reused by management mobile, POS and guest-facing experiences. Additional shops do not repeat completed business-level details.

Market notes

German setup can include fiscal registration and is gated by active platform billing. GB setup does not include that German fiscal step. Enter real operating information; this guide does not prescribe legal or tax values.

Troubleshooting

If reopening lands on an inapplicable business or fiscal step, wait for store and onboarding status to load; the wizard then snaps to the first valid remaining step. If a save fails, stay on that step and retry rather than creating another shop.
