Owners can create another shop from the global shop switcher. Tapp creates the location under the owner’s business, refreshes access, selects the new shop, and resets store-specific onboarding progress.

Who can do this?

Owners can use this workflow. Permission is always evaluated for the selected shop. A role without write access cannot bypass the restriction by opening a route directly; API authorization remains authoritative.

Where

Open the shop switcher at the bottom of the Management Admin App sidebar and select Add shop. The action appears when your store list contains an Owner membership.

Steps

  1. Enter a shop name of up to 100 characters.
  2. For a DE business, review the live add-on preview. If billing applies to the next shop, the dialog shows the returned estimated monthly and per-store-day amounts.
  3. Only when that notice is shown, select the explicit additional-store billing consent.
  4. Choose Add shop and wait for the success state. Select Done; Tapp should already have switched to the created shop.
  5. Complete the new shop’s setup before using it operationally.

Platform notes

Creation refreshes the authentication token because store roles are encoded in access context, then reloads the owner’s shop list. The new store becomes active and the setup wizard starts with store-level fields cleared. If token refresh fails, the create response can still show success while the list needs a later refresh.

Market notes

For DE, stores beyond the first can be a metered Stripe add-on. Applicability and displayed amounts come from the billing preview, and consent is required only when the backend says it applies. Do not reuse amounts from this article. GB does not use this DE add-on confirmation path.

Troubleshooting

A subscription-required or consent-required error means the backend’s current billing rules were not satisfied. Reopen the dialog, review the current preview, and confirm only the consent shown. For other failures, do not create duplicates immediately: refresh the shop list first to see whether the location already exists.
