No-show in Live Floor applies when a due or overdue booking is holding a free physical table and nobody has been seated. Once an active session exists, the guest is seated; use session completion instead of no-show.

Who can do this?

Owners, Managers, and Staff may operate Live Floor and table sessions. Room, table, and booking configuration remains Owner/Manager-only wherever its API requires that role.

Where to do it

In the Management web app, open Rooms and tables → Live Floor. Select a table for its card or session. The Management mobile app provides the same core floor, filter, map, table-action, extension, and session-detail areas.

Steps

  1. Find the table showing an overdue booking with Free up table and Seat now actions but no active session.
  2. Confirm the guest name, table, booking time, and that the party did not arrive. Check with the floor team before changing attendance.
  3. Select Free up table and read the no-show confirmation.
  4. Confirm once. Tapp updates the linked booking to No show, which releases it from active floor assignment.
  5. Verify the table state and the booking status. If the guest is present after all, use Seat now instead of no-show.

Platform notes

Web and mobile use the same session endpoints. POS orders are anchored through the session ID. Guest bookings from the guest app can appear as incoming floor bookings, but guests cannot operate Live Floor or sessions.

Market notes

The flow is the same in GB and Germany. Live Floor sends a local time reference for the store; bookings and sessions are shown in that local operating time. Currency differences affect orders, not occupancy logic. This reflects the product on 17 July 2026. The active session is authoritative: an elapsed booking window does not end physical occupancy, and only a successful session action changes the table state.

Troubleshooting

  • When a session is active, Free up ends the session with completion; it does not mark that seated booking no-show.
  • If the no-show update fails, open the booking and inspect its current status. Another operator may already have confirmed, archived, or changed it.
