Notification types help you understand why an entry appeared and which workflow it relates to. Tapp displays a translated title and message, a type-specific icon, the creation time, and—when supplied—a link to the relevant screen.

Who can do this?

Owners, Managers, and Staff can interpret notifications delivered to their own account. Delivery can be role-targeted, so receiving or not receiving a type does not by itself prove that an event did or did not happen for another role. Your store membership and the event’s target determine visibility.

Where

Open Notifications in the Management Admin App, or open the notification preview from the header bell. Select an entry to mark it read and, if the entry contains a supported web deep link, move to its related screen.

Types you may see

  • Order: created, submitted, paid, pay later, cancelled, completed, or rated. These entries describe changes in an order workflow.
  • Staff rating: a rating associated with a staff member.
  • Booking: requested, created, confirmed, or cancelled. Some booking messages explicitly say that action is required.
  • New message: a message event with its supplied context.
  • System: a system-level notice.
  • Other: a valid notification that does not match a more specific icon mapping.
The interface can also translate structured content for operational events such as menu-item changes, completed or failed file processing, and booking updates. Always use the title and message shown in the entry as the immediate description; do not infer additional business impact from the icon alone.

Platform notes

The web app uses the notification type for the icon and structured data for localized wording and navigation. A deep link is optional. If no supported link is included, selecting the row still marks the entry as read but leaves you on the Notifications page.

Market notes

Types and role rules are shared across GB and DE. The app translates known structured messages into English or German and formats dates using shop context. The underlying event remains the same when language changes.

If a message is unclear

Confirm the shop and timestamp, then open the related product area if a link is available. A Failed notification status refers to notification delivery state; it is not sufficient evidence that the underlying order, booking, or payment failed. If the wording lacks enough context, retain the entry and provide its title, time, and shop to support.
