Voucher tools turn a code-capable promotion into a distributable campaign. A campaign code can be reused up to its cap; bulk generation creates individual single-use codes for controlled distribution.

Who can do this?

Owners and Managers can perform this flow. Staff may see a link in some navigation states, but the promotion API does not grant administration access.

Where to do it

Use Promotions in the Management web app for the labels in this guide. Equivalent promotion screens also exist in the Management mobile app. POS actions happen in the cart; guest-facing effects appear in the guest web store.

Steps

  1. Open a code-capable promotion and find Voucher codes. Create a campaign code by entering an optional code and redemption cap, or let Tapp generate the code.
  2. Use bulk generation for individual one-time codes. Enter the number required and keep the returned set under controlled access.
  3. Select a code to copy it, download its QR image, or copy the share link. The link opens the guest store through the voucher redemption route.
  4. Watch the redemption count and per-code cap. Promotion-wide caps and all other eligibility rules still apply.
  5. To stop a code, select Deactivate, review the confirmation, and confirm. Deactivation is for that code; use pause or end to stop the whole promotion.

Platform notes

Web and mobile use the same promotion and authorization rules from the API. The guest app lists only guest-visible, currently applicable offers; voucher links can carry a code into the basket. A control shown on one platform never expands the server-enforced role.

Market notes

The flow is the same for GB and Germany. Money is displayed in the store currency, and schedules are evaluated in the store’s local time zone. Check the selected store, currency, date, and time rather than relying on country assumptions. This guide reflects the product on 17 July 2026. The API-enforced role and saved promotion state are authoritative; local previews are guidance and the server validates the rules again when the change is persisted.

Troubleshooting

  • Codes are normalized to uppercase and have format rules. If generation fails, correct the code or cap rather than repeatedly submitting.
  • A deactivated, unknown, capped, or ineligible code is rejected. A QR code does not override guest visibility, promotion status, schedule, spend, or item eligibility.
