Booking settings define the choices and defaults used by the shop’s booking flow. Owners and Managers can configure party-size limits, permitted durations, whether guests choose duration, the standard duration, and the no-show threshold.

Who can do this?

Owners and Managers can use this workflow with the scope described here. Write access is checked for the currently selected shop. Backend authorization is authoritative; entering a route directly does not expand a role.

Where

Open Booking settings from Settings, or go directly to the Booking settings route when your Manager access exposes it.

Steps

  1. Set minimum and maximum party size; maximum must be at least minimum.
  2. Choose whether guests may select duration. Add positive duration values, remove obsolete ones, and keep at least one usable choice.
  3. Select a standard duration from the saved duration list.
  4. Enter a positive no-show threshold in minutes.
  5. Select Save changes when the form is dirty. The web flow always keeps guest staff selection disabled and party-size selection visible.

Platform notes

The form normalizes older settings before saving. If the stored standard duration is not in the duration list, the UI falls back to the first available value. The API allows Owner or Manager updates. Staff can work with bookings operationally but cannot change these shop-wide rules.

Market notes

The settings structure is shared by GB and DE. Labels and time formatting are localized, while the numeric minute values and party-size rules remain shop data. Confirm that local service practices match the configured defaults.

Troubleshooting

A maximum below the minimum prevents submission. Durations and the no-show value must be positive; the standard duration must be one of the available choices. If the guest flow still shows old options, confirm the shop and refresh the guest surface after a successful save.
