Attach the order to a guest for identity/receipt context, to a table for floor service, or to both when applicable.

Who can do this?

Owners, Managers and Staff can build and submit staff-side orders. The supporting guest/table reads are scoped to the active shop.

Where to do it

In the POS cart, use Add guest or Add to table above the basket.

Attach a guest

  1. Select Add guest.
  2. Find and select a guest in the picker.
  3. Selecting the same guest again removes the selection.
  4. Check the guest shown in the cart details. Email and phone can later prefill payment/receipt fields.

Attach a table

  1. Select Add to table.
  2. Browse tables grouped by room. Single and combined tables can be listed.
  3. Read the operational badge: the picker reduces the live floor to Free or Booked. A separate badge marks a table hidden from online booking; staff can still select it.
  4. Select one table. Selecting the same card again removes it.
  5. Return to the cart and verify the table name.
Only one table selection is stored on the basket. If POS was opened from a table’s Add order action, the route can already carry that session anchor. The picker loads rooms, single tables, combined tables and the current floor snapshot. Its Free/Booked badge is deliberately simpler than Live floor. An online-hidden table remains selectable by staff and is labeled separately. An empty picker means tables must first be configured.

Platform notes

The table and guest relationship is persisted when the order is prepared. Management mobile and live floor read the same backend entities. Guest ordering can supply its own guest identity and table context through its authorized flow.

Market notes

The behavior is shared for GB and Germany. Phone-number defaults used later for SMS or receipts come from the shop country.

Troubleshooting

If the expected guest or table is missing, confirm the active shop and refresh the picker. An empty table picker means rooms and tables must be configured first; do not substitute an order note for a real table assignment.
