Who can do this?
Owners, Managers and Staff using voice ordering can review their current dictation in the mobile app. This is separate from management access to saved recordings, which is restricted to Owners and Managers.Where to do it
The live text preview shows only the newest words, in up to two lines. Stay in the voice order, stop dictating and wait until recording finishes. Use the waveform button labelled View order transcript to open Order transcript when it becomes available. Stop and review before leaving the voice order. Going back while speech is still processing can leave the final words out of the transcript or basket.Read and listen
- Compare transcript product names, quantities and corrections with the basket.
- Once available audio loads, use Play to listen or Pause to pause.
- Tap or drag the waveform to seek. With VoiceOver or TalkBack, adjust it forward or backward in 5% steps. Tap a word from the latest recording to jump near that passage. The position can be approximate.
- Close the transcript to return to the order and make any basket corrections there.
- Recheck the complete order before continuing to payment.
Understand what can be replayed
If you stopped and resumed dictation, the transcript can include earlier speech while the available recording covers only the latest recorded segment. Do not assume the playback contains everything shown in the text. Audio unavailable can appear when no playable recording is available. You can still read the text. It does not mean that the basket is empty or that the order was cancelled. Resuming dictation closes the transcript view. This screen reviews the current dictation, so do not rely on leaving the order and reopening it later to recover the same local playback.Review a saved order in the web app
Owners and Managers can open History, select an order and choose View transcript when it appears. The dialog shows the recording date, the staff member’s name when available, and the saved text. Use the audio player if a recording is available. If several voice recordings are linked to the order, this view opens the newest one. It does not provide a selector for older recordings. Compare the text with the order details; reviewing it does not change the order or its payment status. Text and audio can become unavailable separately as the shop’s retention periods expire. A missing recording does not mean the order was cancelled. If loading fails, close and reopen the dialog. Reopening also refreshes playback access if an older playback link has expired, but cannot recover deleted recordings. If View transcript is missing, check your shop and role, then reopen the order after checking your connection. A failed load can hide the button. If the dialog has no audio, close and reopen it once: temporary playback access problems can look like missing audio. Neither state proves that no recording was saved.Platform notes
The mobile app plays locally; web History requires a saved recording. Local playback does not confirm upload.Market notes
The flow applies in Great Britain and Germany. Check the shop’s capture language if recognition repeatedly differs from what was spoken.Troubleshooting
- If the transcript button is missing, stop recording and wait for the review state.
- If audio will not play, check the device volume and review the text manually.
- If a recognized item is wrong, correct the basket before payment. Ask your manager to review learned phrases for recurring errors.
- Contact Tapp support if the transcript or order remains unclear.
