Who can do this?
Staff can record their own attendance for an assigned shift in their shop. Owners and Managers also have access to their own check-in actions. If you need a missing or incorrect record corrected, contact your Owner or Manager.Where to do it
In the mobile app’s personal Work area, find Check-ins. A shift becomes available for check-in from one hour before its scheduled start until its scheduled end. An active check-in remains available to manage after the scheduled end.Check in
- Open the shift’s check-in card and check the date and hours.
- Select Confirm check in.
- In the confirmation message, select Check in.
- Wait for the Checked in result and check the recorded start time.
Check out
- Open Manage check-in for your active record.
- If the scheduled end was no more than 15 minutes ago, choose Check out now and confirm Check out. This records the current time, including when you finish before the scheduled end.
- If the scheduled end was more than 15 minutes ago, enter the time you actually finished and a reason under Why are you checking out late?
- Check the displayed time, choose Check out with entered time, then confirm Save.
- Wait for Checked out. Use View all in the check-in area to review your records.
Review your records
Select View all beside Check-ins. Latest shows available check-in actions or your active check-out. Those rows show scheduled hours; historical attendance rows show recorded times. Missed rows show the planned hours, not hours worked. Last week groups recent records; Last month can include older records too. These headings are not exact calendar periods. Use each row’s date and times. Select Load more for additional entries and pull down to refresh. If the list fails to load or appears incomplete after refreshing, reopen it before assuming a record is missing.Platform notes
Planning a shift is separate from checking in, and reaching the scheduled end does not mean you have checked out. If a record has been open for more than a day or the time picker cannot express your actual finish correctly, ask your Owner or Manager to help correct it.Market notes
The timing rules apply in Great Britain and Germany. The mobile check-in controls use the shop’s time zone. Review dates as well as hours when working across midnight or away from that time zone.Troubleshooting
- If no shift is available, check your assignment, selected shop and whether you are within the check-in window. A loading error does not mean there is no assigned shift.
- If Tapp says you already checked in, inspect your current record before trying again. Do not create another record to work around an unclear result.
- If a late check-out cannot be saved, check the finish time and enter a reason. If the action fails, refresh and inspect your record before resubmitting it.
- For a missed check-in or incorrect time, contact your Owner or Manager. If the app keeps failing, contact Tapp support.
