Choose the price list used by guests and decide whether your team’s devices should share a selection. These are separate settings, so a change at the till does not have to change the guest ordering page.

Who can do this?

Owners and Managers can configure these settings. Owners, Managers and Staff can select available lists while taking orders, according to the device setup.

Where to do it

In the web app, open Menu, select Price lists, then find Where price lists apply.

Set prices for guests

  1. Open Guest app prices.
  2. Select the list guests should use, or choose Standard prices.
  3. Wait for the setting to save automatically; there is no separate Save button.
  4. Review the guest ordering page and check a priced item.
Guests do not choose a price list themselves. If the selected list has no separate price for an item, that item keeps its standard price.

Choose shared or separate device selections

  1. Find Use the same list on every device.
  2. Turn it on to share the active list across devices.
  3. Choose Staff app default to set the shared starting list.
  4. Check the list shown at the till before taking a new order.
With sharing on, a team member changing the list at the till also updates the shared selection. With sharing off, each device remembers its own last-used list. The shared-default selector is unavailable while sharing is off. Turning sharing off clears the shared default. If you later enable sharing again, review and select the intended default rather than assuming the old one will return.

Platform notes

Configure the settings in the web app. Check the selected list in the mobile app or web till before adding items. Open the list picker to see the available names; choosing one applies it immediately and closes the picker. There is no separate confirmation. Long names may be shortened in the mobile header, so check the full name in the picker. These settings choose prices; they do not create an automatic time-based promotion.

Market notes

Lists belong to the selected shop and use its currency. Check the location before setting guest prices, especially when you manage shops in different markets. In the web app, items added through the options screen currently use standard menu prices plus their options, even with another price list selected. Check the basket before charging. See Build the basket.

Recheck after switching shops or archiving a list

The mobile app clears a remembered list when it is no longer available in the selected shop and returns to standard prices. Wait for the menu to finish loading and check the list shown before adding items. Changing the selected list applies to newly added items; it does not move every existing basket line to that list. Review separate lines and prices if you changed lists during an order. A draft does not lock in its prices. When it is submitted, each line uses the current amount from its original list, or the current standard price if that list was archived. Changing the guest default does not move existing lines to the newly selected list. With shared selection enabled, a change must reach the other devices before they follow it. After a connection or save problem, check each till’s current selection instead of assuming they all match. If adding an item fails because its selected list is no longer valid, the mobile app can clear that selection. Check the list and price before retrying.

Troubleshooting

After changing a setting, check that the intended selection is still shown. If it does not save, check your connection and retry. When changing the shared list in the mobile app, do not rely on an error message: check the selection on the other tills before continuing. If you archive the list used by a default, that default is cleared. Review the current settings and choose an active list or standard prices.
