Customize your guest page and choose whether it shows ordering, bookings, or both. Preview changes, then save them for guests.

Who can do this?

Owners and Managers can save appearance settings for their shop. Staff and guests cannot change these settings. Check the selected shop before editing, especially if you manage several locations.

Where to do it

In the web app, open Shop → Website appearance. Check Editing shop, the shop name, and the displayed web address. Open live shop opens the guest page in a new tab so you can compare the published appearance. If the link is missing, contact Tapp support.

Choose colors and sections

  1. Wait for the current settings to load. If loading fails, use Retry, then reopen this page and check the saved colors and sections before editing.
  2. Choose a starting look under Presets, or adjust Brand color, Surface color, and Background under Custom colors.
  3. If needed, use Advanced colors for Cards, Primary text, and Secondary text. Leave Auto on to let those colors follow the background, or turn it off to choose a color yourself.
  4. Under Sections, select Menu & ordering, Table bookings, or both. At least one must remain enabled to save from this editor.
  5. Check the Phone and Desktop previews. Review buttons, text, cards, and the available navigation.
  6. Address contrast warnings by choosing colors that are easier to distinguish and read.
  7. Select Save once and stop editing until Website appearance saved appears. The preview then reloads the saved shop. Open the live shop again to check the result as a guest.
The preview is interactive: ordering or booking actions inside it can be real. Use it to inspect the appearance without submitting an order, payment, or reservation unless you intend to do so. A live guest page normally checks for saved appearance changes about once a minute while you are viewing it. Reload the live page to check sooner. The editor preview follows your draft instead, so use Open live shop to check what guests see.

Discard or reset changes

Discard restores the last saved colors and section choices in the editor. Reset to Tapp default resets the color draft; it does not reset your section choices. The preview may keep showing your saved colors until you save the reset. Select Save, then check the live page. If you leave or switch shops with unsaved changes, review the warning before discarding them. Seeing a new color in the preview does not mean it has been saved.

Platform and market notes

These steps describe the web app and apply to shops in Great Britain and Germany. They change the guest page’s appearance, not the mobile app’s colors, product prices, or opening hours. Manage the shop logo separately. Section choices control what the guest page shows. They do not cancel existing orders or bookings, close the shop, or replace checking unfinished payments and reservations with your team.

Troubleshooting

Save is unavailable if there are no changes, both sections are off, or the current settings failed to load. Check invalid color entries as well: an incomplete entry may return to the last valid color when you leave the field. Review the resulting color and retry loading when needed. If the preview is unavailable or warns that it shows a different shop, check the selected shop and open its live page. Ask Tapp support for help if the mismatch remains; do not treat that preview as proof of what was saved. If saving fails, keep the changes visible and check the result before leaving. A successful color preview alone does not confirm a successful save. If the live page unexpectedly shows default colors or both sections, reload it and compare the saved settings in the web app. A temporary loading problem can cause this fallback; it does not prove your saved choices were erased. If the mismatch continues, contact Tapp support. Hiding a section is not a reliable way to stop all new orders or bookings.
