Who can do this?
Owners and Managers can review phrases for their shop. Staff should report a recurring wrong match to a manager and correct the current basket before payment.Where to do it
In the mobile app, check the selected shop, then open Shop → Voice ordering → Learned phrases.Answer a suggested match
- Under Needs review, read the phrase in the question and review the displayed count.
- Inspect the proposed menu items and any options. Choose a candidate only when it matches what the team means.
- Tap that candidate to save the match. This starts saving without a separate Save button or confirmation step. A question can disappear before saving finishes.
- Reopen Learned phrases and review Phrases to confirm the saved expression and target item.
Dismiss a question carefully
Dismiss a question only when you no longer want it asked. This suppresses the question for the shop on future visits, including after refreshing. Dismissing a question does not retire an existing saved match. Review the Phrases list separately if the phrase already points to the wrong product. There is no restore control for dismissed questions on this screen; contact Tapp support if one was dismissed by mistake.Retire an incorrect match
Find the expression under Phrases and check its target item or option. The list distinguishes Added manually, Learned and Retired entries and can show confirmations and the last confirmation date. Select the retire action, read the confirmation and choose Retire. The match remains visible as Retired, stops being used for that item and is not automatically learned again. There is no direct reactivation button. If the same question appears again, answering it for the same item and capture language can restore the match. Otherwise, ask Tapp support for help.Use the web app
Open Settings → Voice phrases for the selected shop. Open questions shows expressions awaiting a match; Learned phrases lists saved and retired expressions. Choose the correct product or option under a question to answer immediately. Wait for the success message: a question can disappear before saving finishes. Use the question’s dismiss button only when you want it suppressed for the shop. To stop using a saved match, select its retire button, read the confirmation and choose Retire. Retired entries stay visible. As in the mobile app, there is no free-text creation form or restore button here. After an error, reload and check the saved state.Platform notes
Both apps manage the same shop’s phrases. Changes help future matching; they do not rename products or correct existing baskets. Check a fresh spoken order after a correction.Market notes
The flow applies in Great Britain and Germany. New answers use the shop’s current capture language. Changing that language does not clear the saved phrase list. Check that language before answering a question, especially if your team works in more than one language.Troubleshooting
- If questions or phrases fail to load, check your connection and reopen the page. The two lists load separately; seeing one does not confirm the other loaded.
- An empty question list does not prove every phrase is correct. Questions can come from repeated unmatched speech or the same expression being associated with different menu items. The displayed count can include menu checks; it is not always a count of spoken orders.
- After a save, dismissal or retirement error, reopen the list to check the saved state before repeating the action.
- For repeated wrong matches, use manual ordering and contact Tapp support with the phrase and intended product.
